NGenTec is an innovative and dynamic company providing a step change in generator technology for wind turbines.
Make a difference.
NGenTec have the following vacancies:
Electrical Machines Design Engineer
- Lead and carry out the electromagnetic designs, analysis and requirements definition for NGenTec range of electrical machines. Experience with VectorFields, Matlab, Flux 2D software would be an advantage
- Develop and analyse various design cases using in-house tools such as FEA, to establish performance or develop features to suit customer needs/manufacturing processes.Optimisation of machine performance by developing critical parameters list and investigate sensitivity by running a DOE.
- Participate in the optimisation of cost, efficiency, weight and output among competing design parameters
- Feed lessons learnt from current demonstrator to future products
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, sub-contractors/industrial partners (e.g. structural, production, mechanical and thermal engineers) to develop the fully integrated and optimal total design for NGenTec generators
Mechanical Engineer
- Hands on work packages and be responsible for designing components, assemblies and NGenTec permanent magnet machines using a wide range of computer aided engineering tools including, SolidWorks Computer Aided Design (CAD) and structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) ANSYS
- The role will also involve the analysis of thermal, stress, fluid dynamics, power transfer, vibration and machinery dynamics problems.
- Lead mechanical and structural design and analysis of mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
- Support Manufacturing, development partners ensuring readiness and compliance, company purchasing activities and competitive product analysis
- Lead and participate in design reviews, support work to advance solution and optimised concepts. Develop test plans for the mechanical and structural testing
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, sub-contractors/industrial partners (e.g. electrical, electromagnetic, production, mechanical and thermal engineers) to develop the fully integrated and optimal total design for NGenTec generators
CAD / Design Engineer
- Be responsible for designing components, assemblies for NGenTec permanent magnet machines using a wide range of computer aided engineering tools including SolidWorks Computer Aided Design (CAD).
- Generate engineering drawings to support engineering, manufacturing production, purchasing and tendering efforts
- Specify finishes and tolerances for components and assemblies
- Generate schematics and wiring diagrams for electrical circuits and machine windings
- Design, manufacturing tools, jigs and fixtures for assembly, lifting and testing of components
